  All Day FSU Cultural Events   April 5, 8PM The FSU Dept. of Music presents the Junior & Senior Vocal Studio Recital in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. This performance is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the FSU Department of Music at 301-687-4109.
 
  All Day Intro to the Internet- Register   Computer Class “Introduction to the Internet” will be held at the various branches of the Allegany County Library System. Come learn about browsers, search engines, and hyperlinks. We will perform simple searches & enter website addresses to access sites directly. This one hour class is designed for the novice user. Pre-Registration is required !

  6:00AM 6:00PM Thirty-One Handbag Bingo Event   Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Date of event is May 4th 6pm with doors opening at 5pm. The event will be held at the LaVale Fire Hall. Tickets are $20 and we will have door prizes, raffle and 50/50.
 
  11:00AM 4:00PM American Red Cross Blood Drive   Located at Eastern WV Community & Technical College, 316 Eastern Drive, in Moorefield, WV. To be eligible to donate, you must be 17 years of age (Note that 16 year old's may donate in some states with parental permission - check with the Red Cross), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and be in reasonably good health. A person can give every 56 days. All blood types are needed, but especially O negative and O positive. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate. Sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org
 
  7:00PM 11:55PM "Grow It, Eat It"   Free workshop sponsored by the University of Maryland Extension and the Maryland Master Gardener Program titled "Grow It, Eat It and Growing Vegetables in Containers". Located at Garrett College, Room CE 204. Great handouts, planting calenders, and publications will be available. Learn how to utilize different containers and maximize space for someone interested in alternative gardening methods. Call Garrett Extension Office at 301-334-6960 to register. Walk-Ins are welcome.
